I bought this on purpose as it was for small dogs. I have a mischievous Yorkshire poop that runs away and I put on a collar to keep him in check. When I opened the box there was a huge collar that had to be cut off. This is good because you can customize it for your pet, but it also hurts to cut. However, I received it and had to use it almost immediately. It worked! My dog who ran out of the yard has returned. However, he also did the opposite. Every time I called her, and when she didn't call, I gave her a vibration from which she kept running into the yard. Eventually, she found out the essence of the collar and somehow removed it herself. Yes, you read that right. She comes back from the street and the collar is gone. I have half an acre on my lawn so it would be very hard to find anything but the thing is she kind of took the collar off. I made sure it was tight and did everything in my power to keep it from coming loose, but now it's lost and still hasn't been found. Overall a good product but I wouldn't buy for small and mischievous breeds like Yorkies Poop Rep or small puppies
