I bought this camera before the trip because my Nikon DSLR is too big and I didn't want to risk it underwater! This little camera was easy to slip into a dicapac bag (see my other review) and came in handy for snapshots too. Although the image scale is small, I was able to crop it afterwards due to the high megapixel count. The only thing I complain about is trying to see the screen in bright sunlight or underwater - I wish it had a small viewfinder, but I think that's a thing of the past. The touchscreen aspect is good but a bit tricky to master - it takes a while to figure out which button to press to access the touchscreen and then get rid of it. But there's always a learning curve - mostly I love it! Image quality was excellent both indoors and outdoors. As far as I know, Nikon optics cannot be defeated.
