Update: I was waiting for my uploaded video to post and then watched it on my laptop and my son's gaming laptop. The video quality looks very poor when played from this download. It does NOT look bad on my local machine so I think this confirms that 2.7k may require a bit of experience to have the right software to handle it. However, the audio will sync with the video when the downloaded clip is played through Amazon. So I've come to the conclusion that 2.7k is a bit tricky to deal with and you may need to know what you are doing and regular users may have problems like me. focused on testing and verification. At 1080 it worked pretty much as I expected. Navigating the menus requires some patience, they could be more intuitive, but the instructions are enough if you take the time to read. My 1080 videos were captured well and played back well on the camera screen. The connection to my laptop was also successful and there were no problems with playback. But my 2.7k test has a few issues and I've uploaded one of my step-by-step videos to illustrate this. First, the focus isn't very good/clear on close objects, but on things further than a few feet away it looks great (judge for yourself in my video). But the big problem is exporting and playing on my laptop. Video plays faster than audio when playing on my laptop. The audio sounds good, so the video is too fast. So my players don't understand the video format and I couldn't find a solution on this rainy evening. I've tried multiple players on 2 newer laptops (one for gaming) and none of the budget laptops. The seller's description says "2.7K (30fps)" and I understand that 30 could be the problem as 60 is expected and common. My uploaded video was uploaded to my laptop raw and unaltered - straight from the memory card and uploaded to Amazon. If you can reproduce it, please note that my narration falls significantly and increasingly short of what I am explaining, and the audio ends long after the video. At least it lags on playback, but see for yourself. I've uploaded the raw video so the playback is either via Amazon or your presentation server - so see what happens for you. I will keep playing with it and also ask my teenage computer expert to take a look. If I find a solution I will change my rating, but for now I'm only giving this camera 3 stars because it doesn't seem to be compatible with current US standards due to its main advantage of 2.7k resolution. I also found the focus a bit poor at close range. Just to be clear everything is fine playing 2.7k on the camera screen and the output is plugged directly into my TV. My concern/concern is that 2.7k 30fps might not be the universal US standard as I will have to try harder to find a compatibility issue and most likely download a new player that is more advanced than the garden variant.
