Update August 2019: These probes still work fine for me, but the ones I use regularly are very worn. Corrosion is a very thin layer, so adjusting the gap for my 3D printer's nozzle is quite enough. I suspect you shouldn't wipe off the excessive amount of oil that is on it. Next time I buy them I'll see if anyone makes a stainless steel version. Original Review: I bought these to calibrate the nozzle height on my 3D printer (using .08, .09, .1). They are great for my purpose and the extra length makes them comfortable to use. They are attached to the handle with a screw + plastic nut. I removed the ones I use regularly so I don't have to keep the whole set all the time. I checked their accuracy with some cheap digital calipers and they were correct. I'm not sure how accurate they are for those who need more precision than me. The only downside is that they are very oily - to prevent corrosion I suppose, or maybe it's just production. I wiped them with rubbing alcohol to keep the oil from getting on the surface of my printer.
