Review on 🔌 Accell Power Air - White Surge Protector and USB Charging Station, 6 ft (1.8 m), Model D080B-048F by Brian Campbell

If considering Accell Powramid 'AIR' model READ THIS FIRST. The Air model is missing an important feature. The manufacturer information on this Revain page is NOT CLEAR in this regard. This could be more of a description of the larger Powramid products than the compact version of the Air. I only found out about this missing feature after reading the Air's user manual at home. The key missing feature is the Failsafe Surge Protector mode. (This feature will not be important to everyone. If you don't need it, ignore my review.) Here is a brief description of the problem: All surge suppressors in this price range will fail sooner or later. You can only block a certain amount of excess power. When worn out, they offer no surge protection at all. At this moment, one of these events -1 occurs. The current keeps flowing without you realizing that your devices are not protected. Your surge protector is just a fancy extension cord. The next splash hits your electronic devices directly and could destroy them. This is very bad. Note: All Powramid products are better than this.2. The energy continues to flow and the suppressor turns on a special light to get your attention. Your devices will continue to work, but may be damaged in the next high tide. You should unplug your devices and replace your worn out (and useless) muffler. This is how Powermid Air works. This is PERFECTLY EXCELLENT for many jobs. If your plug-in devices are durable, cheap, or easily replaceable, this will work for you. I kept my Air but moved it to another room where it only powers lights, adapters and phone chargers. I love the look of the Air and don't care if these little devices overcharge.3. The power shuts down when the jammer can no longer protect your devices. That's exactly what I want. The bulkier powramid suppressors work this way, BUT THE AIR MODEL DOES NOT. I need this feature to protect part of the TV's sound system. It's hidden, so I'm unlikely to see a specific "unprotected" bulb on the Powramid Air - but I'll definitely find that the subwoofer has stopped working. I'd rather disable an expensive speaker than let it burn out. When protecting expensive equipment, you need a failover mode. The larger Powramid takes care of that. But it's not air. I hope the manufacturer updates this product page to clarify the difference. But as of September 2019 when you get to this Air page you see a product description that refers to older non-Air models without explicitly stating so (one of my attached photos is a screenshot from this Air on Revain page). , emphasizing the statement that the power will shut off when the surge protector is exhausted. The other photo is from the instruction manual that came with the Air, with a warning that the energy will continue to flow without filtering. My low star rating only reflects this discrepancy. I may revise the rating when this issue is resolved.)
