Well damn it arrived - ST2022LM007-1R8174, the same hdd with a tiled record and extremely negative feedback from users. It is unpleasant, of course, that the manufacturer does not indicate this absolutely anywhere. As an advanced user, I would like to choose a product with a so-called "thin" selection of features and parameters, but alas, it turns out to be a lottery. It is worth noting that the first hours of disk operation passed without problems, I connected it to a laptop via USB3 and fed it a folder with 300+ GB movies, the recording speed was more or less stable and was in the region of 90-130 Mb / s, the temperature was kept in the region of 48- 50 degrees (room with air conditioning). Given the large number of negative reviews due to the marriage of this particular hdd model (ST2022LM007), now I can’t trust him with all the important data for storage with peace of mind. Summing up, the purchase of this external HDD caused twofold feelings, on the one hand, when using the disk in the first hours after unpacking, we see a relatively stable and good speed, on the other hand, extremely negative reviews about the disk model inside the case, frequent cases of marriage and data loss, and the very fact that the manufacturer does not indicate anywhere that this drive uses SMR.
