The typical coolers in the system unit (3 pieces; 2 up front and 1 at the back) were evidently no longer up to the task as the computer began to overheat. Since this significantly irritated me for a long time, I finally tried swapping out the stock coolers for new ones and adding two more on top, even if the processor was running at about the same temperature as it had been before. Result? In silent mode, the CPU temperature dropped to 28-30 degrees, while in games it rarely goes above 58-62, and under maximum load (in a stress test), it never goes beyond 75. Also, the video card's roaring ceased, yet the temperature did not drop significantly from 72 to 68-70 degrees when in silent mode. All the numbers I've listed are from quiet mode, but in general, there are even fewer if you set the standard. I have five of these fans total (two in the front, two on top, and one in the back), and they do a great job of cooling the PC. We'll have to take a look at reliability, but for now I really liked the fans, I didn't expect such efficiency at all, should I buy it? As for the noise, of course, they are audible in the standard mode, and you can't call them quiet, silent, but the noise is very small and comfortable (much more comfortable than with a screaming video card). Most likely, however I think that the reason they've been so effective for me is that I'm using a small GameMax H605-TA case, where there isn't much room and it's much simpler to blow it; if you're using a bigger case, you might observe a decrease in performance.
