terrible build quality, very expensive

These gaskets work great once in place and look pretty good. The magnets are strong enough to pull the holder through the drawer liner in my toolbox, even though it's a stationary drawer and doesn't bounce in the back of my truck. Of course they would be too weak to be useful in a mobile box. "Tool Lost Indicator" is something of a joke. It's just an orange line at the bottom of the tool curve. It's not entirely clear when the tool will be there, and you may not notice when the tool is no longer available anyway. My two big criticisms are the price and the build quality. Build quality is rubbish. A minute after I took the ToolWidget out of the box, it fell apart. The baseplate locks into place with tabs that don't really line up with the slot or notch, so they're pretty unreliable. When removing the base plate, the magnet falls out. I've been picking up parts from the floor of my workshop and every time I move the ToolWidget over my toolbox they leave behind some magnets. Once the organization settles down, I won't move them much. I am terribly disappointed in the build quality. Not everything is perfect, but for this price, customers expect something much better. Am I paying more than two and a half dollars a tool for storage clips that fall apart when I move them?

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • I have no real complaints about it, everything is fine
