I switched from a Rokinon 14mm manual lens. This lens was surprisingly good, but not what I wanted for a trip to Chile. This lens is amazing. I was able to capture great photos of landscapes and the Milky Way, as well as creative close-ups. Focusing is quick and accurate. The construction of the lens is amazing (like all Sigma Art lenses). Zoom is fluid. But best of all, the images are crisp. They are very detailed with accurate colors and low distortion. Good contrast, which my previous wide-angle lens lacked. I would say these images are sharper than some of the Canon L lenses I've used. The only thing I don't like is how loose the hood is. He often falls while walking. To the point that it was in a backpack so didn't protect the lens as the camera was slung over my shoulder.
