Review on πŸ§„ Chef'n GarlicZoom XL Garlic Chopper - Vibrant Green by Betsy Clark

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Hands down the best purchase I've ever made.

LOVE LOVE LOVE! This tool changed my life. I know it sounds dramatic, but it's true. I've spent at least 10 years looking for an easier way to chop garlic. I hate hacking and shredding it, it's small, impractical and time consuming. Can filling is not the same at all and does not give the desired taste. This prompted me to eliminate garlic from my recipes, not all garlic cloves, just one clove instead of three, etc. I bought all the garlic presses available, from expensive ones to self-cleaning, easy-to-use, different shapes. and sizes. None of them have ever worked that well and have always been difficult to clean, even the "self-cleaning" ones. I've been looking at Revain for a new press, chopper or whatever to make crushing garlic easier for me so I can and want to use large batches of garlic with ease. I stumbled across this amazing little thing. I'm SO glad I bought this. This chopper is small and compact, fits perfectly in my drawer. It opens easily and can accommodate one large carnation or two small carnations at a time. You simply roll the bad baby back and forth until you are happy with the size of the garlic, pop open the top and add to your recipe. I tap the edge of the bowl lightly and most of the garlic falls into it. What's left can usually just be scraped off with a small tablespoon. When I'm done, I simply open the lid and pour in a drop of dish soap, close it, shake it, and then rinse thoroughly. I left this sieve open to dry. About once a week after use, I open it completely, take out the blades and my insides with a soapy sponge. I find it really doesn't need to be washed thoroughly every time you use it if you rinse it off with hot soapy water right away. I always peel the garlic before use so the skin doesn't get into the device. Others may feel differently and wash thoroughly every time, to each their own. I wouldn't recommend washing it in the dishwasher just because the rubber on the wheels can get damaged and I'm sure it will become opaque or less transparent after a few washes. I like being able to see how big/small the garlic is. Pros: Extremely easy to use. Easy to fill and remove chopped garlic. Very good and fast grinding. Very easy to clean. Accessible. a little garlic sometimes cuts rustically, won't mince finely Lots of garlic gets stuck on top when rolling - see how to deal with it below. But none of the downsides should deter anyone from buying, just wanted to point those out. For a tricky roll, I just lay down a towel to give it more support to start the rolling process, usually after I've rolled everything well. become others. As for the garlic sticking to the surface when rolling, I just tap the rack lightly with the roller to knock it off and then start rolling again, problem solved. I turn the device upside down and gently tap the folded towel a few times, and most of the garlic ends up in the top part, which opens. Just open it up and throw it away. Be careful, I could easily see it breaking. Buy this garlic chopper! You will not be disappointed. Hands down the best purchase I've ever made.
