Buy a good garlic press instead

I read a lot of good reviews about this garlic chopper but I wasn't impressed. I'm used to the oxo garlic press, which I really like. GalicZoom slices the garlic instead of pressing it, which is nice, but I found extracting all the garlic pieces from GarlicZoom a tricky and messy process. With a garlic press, I just squeeze the handle and the pressed garlic just comes out of the press and I don't have to dig to get it out. Buy a good garlic press instead.

Cooking with garlic? You need it!

I bought this for my son in law who cooks at home most of the time and loves fresh garlic. This makes chopping and dicing much easier, especially if you're using multiple cloves for cooking. Since garlic is sticky, it takes a bit of effort to get all the little pieces of garlic out, but it's worth it. Easy to open and remove the blade for cleaning. I actually have two smaller sizes, one for garlic and one for fresh ginger.

Garlic is difficult to pull out

It really crushes garlic and seems like a decently made little device. But once the garlic is crushed, it gets stuck in all the little nooks and crannies inside the device. If you're looking for something that will keep garlic from getting your hands dirty, then this isn't it. If you're looking for something that will make chopping garlic easier due to mobility issues, I think this will work. If you don't mind some of the garlic falling to the bottom, you can pour the pieces over it and just…

Slightly disappointing to use

I find the Chef'n GarlicZoom Garlic Chopper easy to load with garlic. It's easy to roll up to mince the garlic. What I don't like is that the garlic is not cut evenly. The result is a mixture of small to very large pieces. Prolonged rolling to mince the garlic will NOT improve size uniformity of the minced garlic. It is very difficult to get all the chopped garlic out of the Chef'n GarlicZoom garlic chopper. I take it apart and put it in the dishwasher on the top shelf, but it's not that easy…

All of this is strong and well made

I have a small that may not fit a large piece. It's also a bit difficult to start chopping because the large garlic stops the blade. Get a bigger one or cut the garlic in half. But I prefer small. With the big ones, I just need more momentum to get the first cuts done. The mechanism works well. I used the wheel on an uneven tiled surface. The wheels hold the tiles well except when the tiles are slightly wet. You can turn the wheels in the palm of your hand, but the large garlic blocks the small

Hands down the best purchase I've ever made.

LOVE LOVE LOVE! This tool changed my life. I know it sounds dramatic, but it's true. I've spent at least 10 years looking for an easier way to chop garlic. I hate hacking and shredding it, it's small, impractical and time consuming. Can filling is not the same at all and does not give the desired taste. This prompted me to eliminate garlic from my recipes, not all garlic cloves, just one clove instead of three, etc. I bought all the garlic presses available, from expensive ones to…
