I don't need a backlit watch face, I don't like night lighting. Reception is fine, slightly better than my standard T antenna that came with the stereo. It adds a few more stations that were filled with static data but are very responsive to placement. Just a slight movement makes these peripheral stations disappear into static again. So don't expect miracles. (This is in an apartment in a big city). If you have a home get a roof antenna for FM, not indoors, for a compact indoor FM there really isn't anything that works well (FM needs a certain length of cable to work well and it's all in this unit rolled up - that's why a "T" style dipole antenna works well.) UPDATE: This works well if I keep moving it to find the sweet spot, in many cases it works better if I move it or in keep him close. Once I place it, move it and the reception will go away. It's too annoying to keep moving it, it doesn't blend in very well.
