Review on Optimizing Image Transfer Workshop: Enhancing Mixed-Media Techniques for Successful Transfers by Shantel Griffin

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Very interesting, very well explained, great information

I bought this book out of curiosity because I wanted to learn more about transfer methods, although I already have many books on the subject and have translated many times myself. But since the reviews were good I thought I would be interested in reading this book. And I'm not disappointed at all. It's really very well explained, they give information I haven't seen anywhere else and some of it is quite original in my opinion. I am an arts and crafts teacher myself and have already written a book on arts and crafts in France so I can hardly be surprised but I have to admit that this book is very comprehensive on all the methods of transmission. The only thing I haven't found so far, and maybe I've searched poorly, is the basic technique, which involves using regular photo transfer paper with your printer. You don't need a book for this, you just have to follow the instructions on the paper packaging. No, you're more likely to find techniques here that force you to use the products you already have in your studio or kitchen. clear, so easy to understand, both for beginners and for people who already know what they are doing. Aside from the compelling content, the images are beautiful. They don't have to be the exact same style as shown here, but these images are nice to look at while you're still learning and having fun. Therefore, I recommend this book if you want to learn different transmission techniques. And no matter what type of printer you use, the authors always tell you which printer it works with. In fact, I would say if you only want 1 book on transfer methods, this is it.

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • boring packaging
