This tablet stand and materials are built to withstand heavy use. The brushed metal feel is great as it isn't a magnet for fingerprints and smudges. It's good to have as a display holder on the counter, like mine. The stand is good and just what I need it for. It's on our counter to hold an iPad when we're looking for recipes, or my girlfriend wants to use it to watch videos for DIY projects. The base is heavy and has no problem holding the tablet and hand of any length. I'm not afraid that it will tip over at any moment, even with the tablet hanging over the edge of the counter. The armrest is well built and the hinges are firm, allowing you to pose securely for optimal viewing. My only concern is the tablet holder design. This leaves a lot to be desired. It's plastic and doesn't look like the rest of the stand. Having disassembled it to fit the iPad, I feel like I might break it with heavy use. Maybe it's just me, but I think with some wear and tear the mount could lose its integrity - I'll have to keep testing it and over time to see if it holds up. Compared to other phone mounts, be they tripods or selfie sticks; Plastic bracket is not much different from these products. I will update in the future if there are any issues but for now I am happy with my purchase!
