The color is not a deep black but more of a faded black. I swear this product is nothing more than latex paint with extra toner. It smells like latex paint and washes off with soap and water. The product lies on the surface and does not penetrate. It shows application marks whether you use a sponge, paint applicator or soft brush. Even after drying for 3 days at 80 degrees, it can be scratched off with a fingernail. A rear bumper cover product has been applied and the product is peeling off due to normal flexing. The seller has requested a return and refund and just wants to ship more bottles. We had a professional with 18 years of experience restoring car paint and trim and ended up with the same results.
