I had really high hopes for this product after reading some of the reviews and what the manufacturer had written. After I placed my order, the stoner came a few days later, but the timing worked perfectly. The plums on my tree are ripe and ready this week. This stoner broke on the third drain. I even cut off the bottom of the second and third plums to reduce drag and stress on the blade. This didn't help and the stoner broke on the third drain. The junction of the cross section of the blade to the butt is small and needs to be reinforced or completely reworked. After breaking, I saw that part of the blade had a thin metal hook connecting that part to the rest of the device. I'm surprised the thin part didn't break the first time I used it. I am extremely disappointed. I have arthritis and processing all my plums is not an option for me these days. But I was hoping to be able to use it for cooking or baking thanks to this product, but I guess that didn't happen this year.
