Review on πŸš— Bingfu NMO Mount Vehicle Mobile Radio Antenna with UHF PL259 Connector and 5m RG58U Cable by Brett Morrison

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Good mounting bracket, poor quality NMO bracket

The mounting bracket is fairly solid and securely fastened but the set screws are not rust proof as shown in one of the pictures. The big downside of this product is the non-standard NMO mount. This mount was made for use with the SO-239 mount, so the antenna mounting hole is 5/8" while the hole required for the standard NMO mount is 3/4". Also, the contacts between the coaxial cable and the bracket are exposed to the elements and will quickly corrode, resulting in failure as shown in one of the pictures. To get this working again I would have to buy a SO-239 mount and a SO-239 to NMO adapter, both of which would cost more than this mount. Would I recommend this product to anyone? Not really, unless they wanted to ditch a non-standard and inferior HMO mount for a decent CO-239 mount, but there are already products with this mount that would be cheaper. Unfortunately, this product had the potential to be successful, but it turned out to be a failure. *UPDATE* I contacted the seller about the product and he replied that he would take responsibility for it and I would receive a replacement within 4 days. 20 days later no replacement or further contact hence the rating dropped to 1 star. I will update if the situation changes. *UPDATE 01/26/2020* : No word from this company after 70 days. They seem to sell junk, make promises and apologize when called, and then be ghosts. Avoid this seller like the plague! I just want them to stick to their "1 year warranty". For now, I'm suggesting that customers don't just walk away from this product, they RUN!
