I bought this necklace because of the adjustable length. I had a similar necklace many years ago and was dying to have another one. After the purchase I even bought another one as a gift. Unfortunately, after only 2 months, the ball that makes the chain adjustable no longer worked. I noticed that after a few minutes the chain would fall to its full length. I tried using smaller pendants on it but it didn't matter. The chain will not stand up to a shorter length even if there is nothing on it. I've tried to see if anything needs tightening but it just doesn't seem made well enough to work for more than a pair of socks. Strongly disappointed.
