Review on πŸš— Arkon Windshield Dashboard Car Mount: Ideal for Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7.0, Kindle Fire HD/HDX 7, Google Nexus 7 and Midsize Tablets by Devon Holmes

A secure mount that fits the Nexus 7 (2012 WiFi) perfectly

I bought this mount to install an Asus Nexus 7 (2012 WiFi) tablet as a sat nav in my car. The mount itself and the suction cup portion of the mount are fantastic. This mount is solid and the suction cup holds better than any suction cup I've ever used. The spring-loaded clips have just enough tension to easily hold the table in place, and I've never had a case of my tablet slipping or moving while riding with it. I will point out some of the releases I had with the mount, one of which was the clips that came with it. My clips had a tendency to slip out the back, they just didn't fit perfectly and could definitely be better, but I very easily attached it with some crazy glue and haven't had any issues since. My other concern was that the included sticky pad probably isn't ideal for hot cars with heavy equipment. In particular, I used a sticky pad to stick it to my car's dashboard and with my tablet inside it was warm enough in the hot sun that the sticky pad came off and my tablet could sit on my desk after the day. The sticky pad itself is well designed, very durable and the sticky foam on the bottom is from 3M so this part isn't cheap. I would advise anyone looking to install it in a vehicle to either mount it somewhere out of the sun or just omit the pad and use the suction cup on the glass. All in all, for less than $12 this is a great mount that I would buy again if I needed a second one.
