You have to hold the apple while trying to slide the slicer over the apple! Almost impossible! The slicer did not remove the entire core from many slices! I ended up with a TOTAL DISS! Then when I tried to clean it with hot soapy water I couldn't get rid of all the apple bits! The edges are sharp, so be careful when washing. I tried shaking the device back and forth in soapy water. EVERYTHING WAS NOT WORKING! This device is absolutely useless for me! Almost impossible to peel completely and get rid of apple pieces. There is no other way to dry it than to wave it back and forth in the air or let it air dry on a towel! THIS UNUSABLE DEVICE GOES TO THE WASTE! It has been used, the packaging has been thrown away so I cannot return it.
