Review on West Biking Universal Adjustable Reflective by Guerdon Draper

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Difficult to install Worth the effort

Rack arrived undamaged with all parts. The parts are well covered and have some weight. The machined parts are well made. A 10mm spanner and matching Allen key are included, so no additional tools are required (although useful). Note that the horizontal part of the "post" at the connection with the seatpost is set at a fixed angle. You will need 3 to 4 inches of seatpost overhang to allow the horizontal post assembly to wrap around the seatpost. Attach the rubber pads to the seat post before attaching the horizontal column. Also use the rubber grommets when installing the bottom bracket. supports on the frame. The horizontal post itself is in two parts, allowing you to adjust the post further or closer to your rear end or intended use relative to the seat. Install the reflector before extending the post to the desired position. Do you want; this will be difficult after the frame and supports are fully assembled. I'm going to mount the drawer on top of the rack and thus slide the rack to its outermost position. Your bike will be held upright and will not move during installation as you will need both hands to install the support hardware. The included 10mm wrench is too big for the nuts and will slip off if not installed properly; very inconvenient to use. A small ratchet and a combination wrench helped me mount the bottom bracket. Install all the nuts and bolts so that they are secure and the entire bike rack is assembled and mounted to the bike, but do not tighten the bolts until the entire assembly is complete and the rack is positioned the way you want it. Upon completion, I was impressed with the firmness of the pose - very little side-to-side movement and not the slightest bit. Good.
