Not recommended Large loop

I bought a large loop and literally half of the hose is not floating. I use this to keep my floating plants from being tossed around by the filter waterfall. I need the ring to actually levitate ABOVE the water and create a barrier for the plants. But no - half of the ring is below the waterline, allowing floating plants to migrate to the falls. Would NOT buy again.
