Review on Manfrotto Element Traveller Aluminum 5 Section by Rushabh Gonsales

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great tripod for the price, a bit heavy.

PROS: High quality installation, clean lines, good work of moving parts, free parts and tools included, nice bag included, nice and big, can be used as a monopod, separate camera and pan screws. CONS: One leg is shorter than the rest, a bit heavy. REVIEW: Need a bigger tripod to replace my cheap $20 model. Found this Manfrotto and am very satisfied. This is clearly a quality product and I have a feeling I'll be using it for the rest of my life (or until I lose it). Operating the twist locks and leg position locks is simple and straightforward (although you may need to loosen the leg screws for quicker angle adjustment). The camera base fits well and is easy to assemble. There are two spirit levels to mount the camera vertically and at a 90º angle. The ball joint works well and I really like the speed of the height adjustment. It seems best for "local" shooting and a little heavy for off-road hiking due to the weight, but being aluminum it should be able to handle loads. many years ahead. Also, one of the legs appears to be shorter than the others when fully extended. This is easy enough to compensate for, but it should have been seen in QA. SUMMARY: I don't think you will find a better performing tripod for the price. Fully recommended for anyone wanting something significantly better than the ubiquitous cheap Chinese knockoffs found in the Revain Preferred category.
