I bought this toothbrush for my 10 year old autistic child who has sensory problems when brushing his teeth. The mouthpiece is too small to reach her back molar unless she moves the device from side to side while brushing. Using it is very simple - add toothpaste, put it in your mouth and press the button. Several weeks have passed, the teeth are consistently clean, there are no visible plaques on the teeth. She is much more comfortable using this device than her old toothbrush, so she brushes her teeth more frequently and more consistently. I have an adult size for myself and the trick with these automatic brushes is that they rinse out really well. Vibrating silicone bristles remove food debris from teeth. Then rinsing your mouth with water will wash away the loose residue. The better you rinse/flush, the more effective this type of cleaning will be.
