I have another mini tripod that I use for video recording. I was contacted to test this product and I ordered it. The other tripod I have is the Ubeesize Portable Tripod. In comparison, Ubeesize has a foam coating on the tripod legs. They are flexible, but not compared to this tripod from WAAO. The WAAO tripod can be bent anywhere between the handles. This gives you the flexibility to use it in almost any photo or video recording situation. As for the phone clip, the WAAO tripod has a phone mount that securely holds the phone. The bracket can be unscrewed and the tripod has a universal bracket for other types of cameras. As for the remarks about the remote, I think this is an issue with the phone's software and not the remote itself. It seems to me that the Bluetooth remote control is very similar to what you get with other brands of tripods. It's similar to the one that came with my Ubeesize tripod. On my phone, the remote works with the included camera app that comes with my phone, but not with the Open Camera app that I use to capture. The remote does something with the Open Camera app, it just doesn't start or stop recording. Between Ubeesize and this tripod from WAAO, I would recommend this tripod as it is more flexible and I also like the phone mount better. sent this tripod for review, but opinions are my own
