I watched a few YouTube videos before attempting to assemble my Royce Union 26 inch mountain bike. I made sure the bottom bracket was the right size at 34mm x 68mm. then I found out that this tool is included in the kit. I also bought a universal chain tool and programming cable to set the default parameters in each pedal assist mode. There is a video on YouTube of this process. It makes sense to cut off the engine briefly when shifting gears to protect your transmission! going uphill is like riding on flat ground! The motor is so quiet you can't even hear it! I'm glad I bought the mid drive kit because front hub motors don't take advantage of your gearing. - In my case 1 - 7. I bought this main stand because the standard stand does not support the bike due to the heavy 48V battery installed in the luggage rack.
