Review on Avid Bicycle Brake Lever Black by Sean Fabacher
Decent brake lever with one critical design flaw
I've always liked Avid brake components, but this one doesn't work for a reason - simple design flaw. The exposed portion of the clamp ring is on the back of the handlebar where the bolt flange or bolt head itself makes contact with your thumb when you move your thumb away from the bottom of the shift knob (thumb shifter). I won't be returning them because I threw away the packaging, but for the extra $7 I had to buy better Shimano BL-T4000 levers.
- Simple design - symmetrical aluminum body with qwik adjustable barrel adjusters is easy to install, use and adjust
