Review on 💨 AC Compressor Control Solenoid Valve Compatible with Volkswagen, Audi models - Sanden PXE16 PXE14 1K0820803E - VW GTI, Golf, Passat, Tiguan, Jetta TDI, A3 - Compressor Pressure Valve by John Shitifano

Just got this for our 2008 VW Rabbit. The air conditioning took a while to turn on as other people reported the valve was sticking. I drained the system and replaced the part myself. In order to fit this part, nothing needs to be removed apart from the fender. Lift the front (please use a safety lifter), remove the fender, pull out the mains plug, remove the snap ring with snap ring pliers and carefully pry off the old valve with a large screwdriver. The more the front end rises, the less likely it is that PAG oil will leak out of the compressor. When installing a new o-ring, lubricate the o-rings with a small amount of Paga oil to improve sealing and to preserve them. I suggest wearing a mask and goggles. You don't want PAG oil on your face when there's still pressure in the system.
