This product was terrible. We stowed clothes and a few small boxes there because we moved to another state to save space in the car. in the middle of the trip we noticed that one of the zippers broke completely. We were able to use the luggage lock to hold the zips together, but the other zip broke as well. We were able to use the straps to secure where the zippers were a bit tighter to keep them from opening, which seemed to work until it seemed to come loose just above them, leaving a gaping hole in the side. we drove through the rain and humidity in the south, which damaged all the clothes we had in the carrier because they were not protected from the weather or water for a long time. Unless you plan to drive it for just an hour or two, forget it. Invest in a hardtop trunk instead.
