Disappointing Shuffler

I don't know if I received a defective shuffler but it was a real disappointment after reading so many reviews from people who were happy with theirs. I need a shuffler if I'm going to shuffle my cards at all; I have arthritis and small hands so blending alone is hopeless. It seemed like people reviewing auto shufflers were complaining about jamming and eating their cards, so I went with it. The only positive thing I can say about it is that it's better than my own shuffle and it hasn't eaten or damaged my cards - at least not yet. But it gets stuck all the time, and I started a new deck when I got the shuffler. The maps are all intact; The only thing not so good is my frustration level. Every time I load cards into the shuffler, I dread the thought of having to pull cards out at both ends; Tonight I caught myself thinking that I really need to find another game like solitaire that doesn't use cards. Sometimes I get enough jams where pulling cards from each side of the shuffler doesn't help, and I also have to take out the tray holding the shuffled deck and work cards from the jammed center. When I saw pictures of these hand blenders I thought they looked like children's toys and that was my opinion when I took the blender out of the box; There's nothing surprising about that. But I was surprised that nobody seems to be selling a decent quality manual blender with a smooth blending mechanism; this one works pretty roughly. In many cases, when the jam starts, I can turn the handle back and slide the cards back into their original positions, but then I have to take them out of the shuffler to put the deck in order before putting them back in, and often the next attempt is more like for the same. If I could mix anything halfway decent, this thing would be in the trash. I gave it two stars, one because it's better than nothing and one because it doesn't damage the cards.
