I was about to replace another brand of filter in my gravity filter with this. It worked great for a weekend of hiking. On the second ride I brought the water to a boil because the flow just stopped - I even tried to suck up the water which was difficult to get it going. But there is no river. It didn't freeze - the nights were quite warm. I have not filtered cloudy or cloudy water; Only pure river and sea water with no solid particles. Two stars for the company. They accepted the return and sent it back without any problems.
