*Edit* After almost a year of use this is the best desktop scissor arm I've used for the price. This is my first desk mounted scissor arm with a hanging boom. I would say you get what you pay for; but not in a negative sense. I wish there were easier ways to tighten at each "joint" and a better attachment system to the desktop mount. It's very loose and wobbles slightly, not enough to pick up noise but enough to be noticed. I could tighten it but then I couldn't turn it. I have an AKG Perception 200. With the original Perception damper, the boom wouldn't hold its position; it will fall slowly. So I bought a much smaller and lighter shock and now it's holding up great. The metal clips on the underside of the arm where the springs connect are very thin and bend very easily. It wasn't a problem for me, but then again I don't move it very often and when I do it stays for a while. I would say this is a great "entry level" product. As I said, this is my first trailer and I understand why the "more expensive" trailers cost so much. But for what I use it for, it works well and you could say it's money well spent.
