When I bought my new house, all the switches were the standard single-throw switches that have been popular for many many years. These switches work perfectly with them to control your Hue bulbs. You simply pair them with your system through the app on your phone and then attach them over your existing light switch (while it's switched to "on") and tighten down the base with a screwdriver. Installation literally takes less than 3 minutes. Then, to use, you simply turn them to adjust brightness or tap them to turn on and off the light fully. Simple as a doorknob. I will say, they do have a small watch style battery in them that you'll have to replace someday, but I've had them now for 10 months and haven't had to do so. I suspect, in my house at least, they'll each last for years before I need to replace the battery. When I do, someday, need to replace the battery though, it looks to be easy: just pop off the cover, use a screwdriver to take the switch off, slide out the old battery and slide in the new, and reattach and you're good to go.Over all, a simple, easy to use product that's pretty much completely worth the price.
