Review on 🔊 SSL EV2.2600 EVOLUTION 2600W MOSFET Amplifier: High Power, 2 Channel with Remote Subwoofer Control by Bob Maldonado

This is a great entry level amp that drives my 2 Kicker Comp 10 well bridged into 2 ohms. The subwoofers are rated for a maximum of 350W each (700W total) and this amp is rated for 2600W into 2 ohms bridged but will not drive the subwoofers. If you buy this amp thinking it will be powered at 2600 watts you will be disappointed. If you are familiar with a car stereo, you should know that you get what you pay for. If you need a little extra bass for a small subwoofer setup, this is perfect for you. I installed an Eclipse head unit, this amplifier, a 2 Farad capacitor and an Optima battery in my 2007 Trailblazer SS and am happy with it. I replaced an old Kicker Impulse amp with this when I switched to 1 gauge cable because the Kicker was overheating and not stable at 2 ohms. I listen to a variety of music with some bass, but my system isn't designed to reproduce bass that could be heard several blocks away. That will show my age, but I think the "Intergalactic" Beastie Boys sound great through this system, even from a block or so away.
