Review on Edifier R1280T Active Bookshelf Speakers - 2.0 Stereo Near Field Monitors - Wooden Enclosure - 42 Watts RMS - Ideal for Studio Monitoring by Swami Nathan ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Exactly as promised by the manufacturer, high quality.

I was puzzled by the search for small speakers in the kitchen. The key points are good sound, bass reflex in front, wireless remote control. I also looked at 2.1 systems, but then they started selling r1280t at an adequate price in a large store in St. Petersburg. Without hesitation bought, not a bit sorry. the speakers will have to live in the kitchen, in very difficult conditions - almost under a false ceiling, on cabinets, but as it turned out, the bass only sounds better from this, though some of the high frequencies are flying to the wrong address. The remote control works great, you can direct it anywhere, while it is very small and can be attached to the refrigerator on a magnet =) The sound is just awesome. I compared it with the old sven royal 1 of the first edition, which is 2 times more than the edifier r1280t. It seemed that on sven there are no distinct highs from such a comparison at all = (although the problem may be that the tweeters on sven are not protected and have already been slightly dented more than once. I am very pleased with the purchase, in idle time the speakers do not make noise, they do not hum, they do not catch any interference. in mute mode from the remote, the jack can freely hang out and touch anything and not make noise!

Pros
  • Excellent balanced sound, very, very cool wins back the high frequencies and the middle, and the bass is more than pleasant. All this in a compact package, with a phase inverter in front and with a cute remote control. And without the front panels just a chic look
Cons
  • While there are few places for sale, the cable to the sound source sucks, but it is almost always necessary to change it by default. Speaker cable is more or less normal
