When it arrived both ends came loose during shipping. They were just stapled together so I used liquid nails and drywall screws to reattach them. After this repair I tried it in the outer corner. Due to the baseboard, the panel does not touch the wall. So I removed the bottom end, pushed it out the thickness of the baseboard, and reattached it (luckily the liquid nails hadn't set yet!). This means the floor is no longer properly aligned with the vertical sections, but at least is now tight to both the baseboard below and the wall above. So I got it working but I'm not impressed, won't buy it again.
