I like this thermometer more than the ones for an aquarium because it's safer for water lovers and definitely doesn't bother them. . The product seems very accurate when I compare it to another thermometer and that is the temperature I set my heater to. I've been using it for a year and it still works great. I also like the way it looks because it doesn't stand out too much but is still easy to read. The only thing is it doesn't give you an exact temperature, it does give you a range of sorts, but since my fish can tolerate a wider range of temperatures than this thermometer showed, it still works well enough for me. I'm always amazed at how accurately it can measure even when it's not in the tank. I recommend buying!
