Review on Waterproof CMOS Camera for Car Rear View Reverse Backup Parking by Danny Nedumaran

Fits perfectly on my Dodge Ram's tailgate handle where the billion dollar factory model should go. The bolt did not have to be changed, just drilled and inserted. Up and down adjustment is a great feature in eyeball optics. As expected, the picture is by no means HD, but it is absolutely sufficient to see objects clearly! However, wiring and instructions were not available. #1. The wires to connect to the backup light were 6 feet from the wire line. Why? In order to use the entire cable to the cab, it had to be spliced to get to the reverse light. #2 - Missing 26 gauge wire. Not sure if this will stand the test of time and mileage. #3 - The wiring harness to the cockpit was long enough, but there was a weird wire sticking out of the RCA video? no details on what it was or how it worked. After guessing, it was the drive for the monitor. Why isn't that just in the instructions? #4 - I still don't know what the red RCA is for. Guess the power, but for what. Is this supposed to power the camera when there is no reverse gear? Again, why isn't this stated in the instructions or not. In general, given the return, I will take another one for backup! Now I figured out how to get around the lack of instructions.
