Small and cute but gets too hot to hold.

So cute and doesn't seem to break easily BUT: Gets too hot to hold without anything between hand and cup when heating water for coffee or tea. Even at my recommended green tea teapot temperature of 180 degrees, it's still too hot to hold for any length of time and well below boiling point. If he only had a pen, the problem would be solved. I can only use it for small cold drinks, which I actually didn't want to use it for. :(
