Studio Ghibli Official Merchandise: Bluefin Benelic Spirited Away Japanese Teacup in White Review

I like how thick it is so it doesn't get as hot as fine china over tea. I also like that the pictures were printed on porcelain - 5 stars. Arrived on time :) All the characters from Spirited Away are beautiful on it, love who they chose and how it is depicted on the mug.

Mine broke first but that's Revain shipping ceramic in bubble wrap so beware of that. Maybe add shipping instructions. All in all a 5 star product and we will review their other licensed products. Too pretty cup for tea. No handle as pictured so wait a few minutes before pouring a very hot drink. This is a high quality mug. The art is actually engraved and not just painted on one of my favorite movies of all time. If you haven't seen Spirited Away, grab a copy and grab this trophy. Price aside, this one will last me for many years and will likely look like new due to the great finish. favorite mug.

Even at my green tea kettle's recommended temperature of 180 degrees, it's still too hot to keep for any length of time and well below boiling point. It was well protected, so no chips, discoloration or anything else. Spirited Away has ALWAYS been my favorite Ghibli movie so let me tell you that this purchase was worth it. If you really want to know something, you don't know how much heat a mug can withstand. I poured 90°C hot water into it to drink hot tea and when I took the cup I noticed that it was quite hot. I'm not sure if he can't handle that much heat? Or something else. But other than that, it's literally immaculate.

As mentioned in other reviews, the image on the outside of the mug is actually pressed into the mug. I love the details in small works of art and that's why I love the movie and the mug so much more. It's a little smaller than I expected, but it's still great. After you put in a hot drink, I recommend waiting a few minutes before picking it up because it'll be hot, or rolling up a paper towel a few times to carry it around and putting a finger or two underneath it to keep it from spilling slips
