A Good Beginner Pot

These pots will mold, so be very mindful of moisture control. They do decompose quickly, more so than more traditional Peat pots. The only thing I didn't like was the black mold on the pot, but it didn't seem to injure the young plants.

Pros

The 4 inch size and round shape make these pots perfect for seed starting. They're small enough to use in a greenhouse or on a windowsill, but large enough to hold a seedling

Cons

The biodegradable material might not be compatible with all types of fertilizers
