This OBDII extension is cheap. The price is cheap as the build quality is cheap. When I received the device, the case it came in was badly worn and wrinkled. Bad start. Then I opened it up and found that the switch housing was loose on one side - enough that it wasn't hard to take apart. I think it was a return for that reason and also because of the tattered look of the plastic bag it came in. However, I managed to easily assemble it. It's not perfect, but it's functional, it works as it should. The overall length is just right for my application. (I placed my OBDII device in a little corner above the steering wheel on my 1st gen xB. Definitely helpful. Previously my Bluetooth OBDII device was always connected to the connector but yes it draws power even when the car For me it's a totally logical purchase, cosmetically it's not perfect but it works as it should and is very useful.
