I bought this for my kitchen. That works great. The 4th generation Echo Dot fits on a shelf and leaves space. Poorly. It doesn't really work with the GFI socket. The device plugs into a standard 3-prong socket at the top and then has a plastic pin that needs to fit into the bottom socket for added stability. I just found out that the bottom connector is slightly lower on the stock GFI. To do this, you need to break the plastic pin.
