This stand just sucks. I bought 2 to transport our new Lifetime Guster kayaks. Yesterday I installed them on my wife's Toyota Sequoia with a factory roof rack. The installation instructions are an absolute joke. Four images to be read with a magnifying glass. No explanation on the construction of the kayak or possible damage to the hull this could cause. This thing was as tight as it could get and yet it slid all over the trunk cross member and damaged my wife's roof. I would definitely advise against buying this case.
