The main reason why we bought an ice cream maker is the ability to inexpensively make lactose-free ice cream with the addition of our own berries (strawberries, raspberries and currants grow in the summer cottage). If you buy lactose-free ice cream in the store, then it is expensive and rarely found anywhere. It was calculated that if you make about 20 lactose-free ice creams, then the cost of the ice cream maker will pay off (this is due to the high cost of lactose-free ice cream). Ice cream in my case is prepared in 30-35 minutes, despite the fact that the instructions indicate the preparation time of 40-45 minutes. The blade and spindle are made of not very thick plastic, I don’t know how durable they are, how long they will last and whether they can be replaced in case of breakage. But I think that the usual preparation of ice cream does not break them. So far, only 3 times ice cream has been made from lactose-free milk, cream and thawed raspberries. Sugar was not added. Without sugar, it turned out sour, probably it should be added.
