It's about Xbox Series X compatibility. I did a lot of research and chose this monitor over a 4k gaming monitor because I needed 120 fps which a 4k monitor couldn't deliver. With the Xbox Series x, if you try to calibrate it to run at 120fps, you can't have it at 1440p as well. So it downgrades to 1080p. So I spent the extra money to essentially run a 1080p monitor at 120fps. The worst thing is that at this quality it not only looks a lot worse, but also flickers and is uncomfortable to play. So I used a higher quality at 60fps BUT I just had to stick with my 4k monitor and get the extra resolution at 60fps. I am so disappointed. If you are an Xbox user, this is not the case.
