Mixed feelings - bag straps came loose, belt tensioner broke on 5 day trip

I bought this set because I needed a larger bag for my clothes/blanket but I also wanted easy access to snacks, electronics and Cards. The bags served their purpose well, but I'm not happy with the durability and will need to look for ways to make them better on my next trip. Bicycle. I'm not sure if there is a "correct" way to do this. Easily find what fits your bike/cables. The main problem is that over time the straps that hold the bags in place, especially the front pocket, loosen, causing the bags to sag over time. This can eventually result in the bags touching the front wheel or pushing the front fender into the wheel. You can keep putting them on as you drive, but that gets boring quickly. I ended up using some rubber bands to add some friction, which helped a bit (a bit hard to explain). I'll probably try to find a different type of clamp for my next trip. The next problem is with the strap clips. You press a small button and slide the strap down to tighten the load. They also don't hold tight enough - so much so that mine fell off completely when I hit a bump. So yes, the bags are great for their purpose, but the features are lacking.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Something different
