Review on Enhance Your Audio Experience with the SoundBot SB340 Universal Plug and Play Bluetooth 4.0 USB Adapter by Andre Pendergrass

May work for streaming but not for gaming. There are audio latency issues.

Stay away from it. It works but there are problems. It comes with an installation disc, but once you install and use it, it runs about 5 different services when I need it for one thing. It connects to Bluetooth devices, but the results aren't very good. The sound is delayed. I followed the steps to turn off power management so it's always on. I've tried various "allow an app to take exclusive control of this device" settings and I've even set it as a device in-game. This device can work without audio delay, but you have to constantly switch between DVD and CD quality. This way it appears to load the audio connection correctly, although it doesn't by itself. Even a simple test in "Playback Devices" has audio lag. On this screen, you can see the audio bar rise and fall, followed by the speaker clicking, and then the test tone sounds. I have tested the device extensively. Different USB ports, one extended USB port, no USB hub, make sure it's not near a USB 3 port as they can interfere with Bluetooth. Something is wrong with the software/driver being used which just doesn't sync the audio properly, a workaround I have to do for every loading screen. I have an old USB Bluetooth dongle so I just have to stick with it until it dies. This and its driver/software have no audio sync/delay issues at all. So much for updating my devices lol.
