I purchased Tamanu Oil to make my own purifying oil blend and apply it to the skin to reduce hyperpigmentation and acne scars. Tamanu is a wonderful oil and I can say that it is a legitimate Tamanu oil. It's a rich green color with a slight herbal scent (that's what you're looking for, this usually indicates the nutritional value hasn't been reduced and that it has in fact been cold pressed). When buying oils for skin or hair care, it is very important to buy organic, hexane-free and cold-pressed oils. I was not disappointed in purchasing this brand and the USDA certification is a good indication that this product is true. One thing to note, some products may not work as well for others. And when that happens, I see people giving a product a one-star rating if they don't get the results they want in the time they expect, but that doesn't mean the product is completely bad. It is unfair to give products bad reviews when they are of high quality, especially since everyone's skin is different and expectations vary. This oil is as advertised, that's all that matters. And what I can say about Tamnu Oil is that it has been a big part of my acne scar reduction journey and I love it, it glides on beautifully too. I will update soon.
