Get your old flash but keep it

The only downside is it doesn't fit in a Bowens flash mount. Everything else is amazing. Just buy it. But don't get rid of your old flashes

Now It's Fast Best in Camera & Photo

Super fast recycling. An extremely practical battery that lasts a long time. A good complementary accessory set that allows for more mobility with features. Nothing bad to say.

No plug and play for shoe mounts

I returned it and bought a Nikon flash. I bought a flash made for Nikon but apparently it was generic and you had to read the instructions to figure out how to get it working with your camera. never mind I sent it back. Postage did not have to be paid. And I connected the Nikon flash. And of course it worked.

Pretty solid flash.

A solid flash obtained from using Canon 600EX RT I can say it's a little less powerful but the round head is good, magnetic attachments are also a concern . I really want the flash to be powered by AA batteries. At the moment you can't find the VB-26 batteries because they are in "pre-order". So if you want a different battery, you have to buy the flash. I'm sure there will be many of these on the market soon.

Great flash for a birth photographer

I'm a Nikon photographer and have had an SB700 in the past. To be honest I rarely used this flash. There are or so many things about it that I didn't care. However, this flash is absolutely perfect. I'm interested in birth photography and the easy movement of this flash head with a dial that lets you zoom out a lot is perfect for what I do. The light quality is also excellent. I do not regret this purchase and can definitely recommend it.

Everything is fine outside of the camera but I wasn't impressed with the camera load time

I've been using the TT685N flash for many years and was happy to switch to the V1-N flash. I bought 2 of these - one for the camera and one for the camera. It's really fun in front of the camera and works great if you're shooting relatively slowly. Thing is, for quick shots like wedding dance floors, intros, speeches, etc., the recycle time is unbearably slow. I was blown away by the long recharge time, even at ISO 800, shutter speed 160, f/2.2 - it didn't take much light from the flash. Myโ€ฆ

A pleasant surprise!?

Small and light flash! In fact, I was really surprised at how light it is. Worked great with my Nikon. Fast processing is very good. Light quality looks great! Overall I am very happy with the V1. I could get rid of my 3 Nikon flashes now!? I have a Flashpoint R2 transmitter but I couldn't get it to work with the V1 without a camera so that was a bummer. I'm not sure how useful an AK-R1 set would be. The grille didn't help much, I guess I expected more. However, I look forward to using colorโ€ฆ
